The JP152 is well regarded as an inexpensive harmony trumpet with the characteristics and performance of professional level models. The rose brass leadpipe aids players of all abilities to produce a rounded, strong sound, and the piston monel valves have smooth, fast action. The JP152 also has a fixed finger ring on the 3rd valve slide to provide greater strength.

Great Bang for your Buck!
Straight out of the case, the horn was in perfect condition. Valves and slide moved exactly as they should. The finish was in perfect condition as well. Outside of typical issues found on C trumpets, the only problems I have had are getting Fourth Space E and Eb in tune. They are extremely flat. Utilizing the fingerings from an octave below solves the problem, but is inconvenient. Otherwise, the C trumpet has great response throughout the range of the instrument, and easily gets a clear tone. It stands up well to a high volume of air and is pretty easy to center. You could easily pay a few thousand dollars for a better trumpet, but for the price, you couldn't ask for much better. I'd take the few imperfections it has and save the money if it's not your daily player. I use it as a secondary horn and as a teaching tool in my band room.
