Keybed and performance controls

This model uses a 73 key triple sensor Kawai hammer action portable keybed. The Electro 7 panel layout includes a large colour display, dedicated Organ, Piano and Synth sections, and seamless program changes using Seamless Transitions. Pitch Stick and Modulation Wheel are included for expressive control.

Organ section

Organ models include B3, B3 plus Bass, Soft B3, Vox, Farfisa and Pipe with full polyphony. Physical drawbars with LED indicators are fitted. Rotary Speaker emulation is derived from the Nord Organ 3 and offers selectable mic positions and dedicated drive control.

Piano section

The Piano section is compatible with the Nord Piano Library and supports Grand, Upright, Electric, Digital and Layer, Clavinet and Harpsichord, and Mallet categories. Sounds can be added, replaced and organised using the Nord Sound Manager. Performance tools include string resonance, tailored timbre settings, dynamic compression, unison options, and multiple keyboard touch settings.

Synth section

The Synth section supports sample playback, analogue waveforms and FM synthesis, with compatibility with the Nord Sample Library. Controls include envelopes for amp and filter or FM, low pass filter cutoff and resonance, vibrato with adjustable rate, amount and delay, plus mono, legato, glide and unison modes.

Effects and expression control

Dedicated effects are available for Organ, Piano and Synth. Modulation effects provide separate rate and amount controls. Reverb includes spring, room, stage, hall and cathedral types, with global reverb and per layer send. Spring reverb can be placed before the rotary speaker. Expression Pedal Assign enables pedal control of synth filter and many effect parameters.
